Selected by curator Jessica McClenan for Archives in Absence through an open call to reflect on the complexities of the archive.  A digital exhibition and curatorial research project that explores the emotional and political dimensions of archival gaps. Through a multitude of media, it reflects on how archives preserve and omit, and what those silences reveal.
The project emerged from a simple, unresolved question: Who is missing? Working with ideas of memory, erasure, absence and speculative reconstruction, Archives in Absence invites viewers to consider how stories are preserved, forgotten, or deliberately obscured — and what it means to make something visible again.
